New Delhi, April 2 -- The Delhi Police launched a major operation titled Operation Kavach 13.0 against organised crime, carrying out a coordinated crackdown across the national capital. Teams from all 15 police districts, along with the Delhi Police Crime Branch and Special Cell, conducted planned raids at 3,211 locations over a 48-hour period.
Under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 229 cases were registered and 267 offenders were arrested. Police recovered 260.65 grams of heroin, 100 kg of cannabis, 1.170 kg of cocaine, along with other narcotic substances and Rs.16,070 in cash.
In action under the Excise Act, 416 cases were registered and 429 individuals were arrested. Authorities seized over 77,000 quarters ...
