New Delhi, Aug. 11 -- The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has achieved its highest-ever daily ridership, recording 81,87,674 passenger journeys on 8 August 2025 across all operational lines.

To accommodate the festive travel rush ahead of Rakshabandhan, DMRC operated 92 additional trips on 8 August and is running 455 extra trips on 9 August for passenger convenience.

The milestone underscores Delhi Metro's expanding role as the capital's most vital public transport network, connecting millions of commuters every day.
