New Delhi, June 27 -- Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu addressed the Marshal of the Air Force Memorial Lecture and paid tribute to the late Marshal of the Air Force Arjan Singh, describing him as one of independent India's most distinguished military leaders and public servants.

The Lieutenant Governor said Arjan Singh's life was closely linked with several defining moments in the country's post-Independence journey. He highlighted Arjan Singh's leadership during the 1965 Indo-Pak War, for which he was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, as well as his later roles as a diplomat and Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.
