Delhi LG Chairs DDA Meeting on TOD Policy
New Delhi, May 14 -- Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu chaired a meeting with the Delhi Development Authority to review the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Policy aimed at creating "Walk-to-Work" communities across the national capital.
The Lieutenant Governor said the policy is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a "Viksit Bharat" and is expected to transform Delhi's urban landscape and skyline.
According to the LG, the policy focuses on promoting high-density and mixed-use development around Metro and Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) stations to reduce congestion, improve urban mobility and expand access to affordable housing.
