Delhi Lakshmi Yojana launched; first 2,500 beneficiaries receive sanction letters
New Delhi, Aug. 28 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana at Talkatora Stadium, with the first 2,500 beneficiaries receiving sanction letters under the scheme.
The scheme was launched in the presence of Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Delhi BJP president and Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra, Members of Parliament from Delhi and members of the Delhi Cabinet.
According to the Chief Minister's Office, more than 9 lakh women have registered for the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the number of registrations had crossed 9.22 lakh, while sanction letters were handed over to the first 2,500 women at the launch programme.
