Delhi Government Unveils Air Pollution Mitigation Action Plan 2026
New Delhi, April 4 -- The Delhi government under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has launched a comprehensive Air Pollution Mitigation Action Plan 2026, introducing strict enforcement measures such as the "No PUC, No Fuel" rule and tighter restrictions on polluting vehicles.
The plan emphasises a shift from policy intent to implementation, targeting major pollution sources including vehicular emissions, road dust, construction activities, industrial pollution, and biomass burning. A key provision mandates that vehicles without a valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate will not be allowed to refuel, with enforcement supported by ANPR cameras and digital monitoring systems.
