New Delhi, April 28 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that the Delhi government will organise the "Somnath Swabhiman Parv - Somnath Yatra" for residents of the city. The initiative is dedicated to celebrating 1000 years of uninterrupted faith associated with Somnath.

She stated that Somnath Dham stands as a symbol of Lord Shiva's divine grace, Sanatan faith, and India's enduring cultural consciousness.

A special train carrying 1,300 devotees will depart from Safdarjung Railway Station in Delhi on April 30 and is scheduled to reach Somnath the following morning. Devotees will offer prayers at Somnath temple from May 1 to May 3 and will also visit nearby temples.
