New Delhi, May 8 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that the Delhi Government will develop a state-of-the-art medical college, hostel facilities, faculty housing and a modern academic block at the Indira Gandhi Hospital campus in Dwarka at a cost of Rs.805.99 crore.

According to Gupta, the medical college will be built in accordance with National Medical Commission (NMC) standards and will strengthen both healthcare services and modern medical education in Delhi.

The Chief Minister said that the institution will begin operations with an initial intake of 150 students, which will later be expanded to 250 MBBS seats
