New Delhi, Sept. 26 -- Delhi government signed an MoU with IIT Kanpur to begin cloud seeding trials. The announcement was made by Delhi Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, who said that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had granted permission for the project just a day earlier.

According to the plan, five trials will be conducted during October and November, depending on cloud presence. These operations will be carried out using Cessna aircraft flown by trained pilots, with all flights originating from Hindon Airbase. The first attempt is scheduled to take place on October 7.
