Delhi Government Reviews Forest Land Issue Affecting Chhatarpur and Rajokri Residents
New Delhi, June 13 -- Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa chaired a meeting at the Delhi Secretariat to discuss issues concerning colonies and Gram Sabha lands in Chhatarpur and Rajokri that were later declared as forest land.
The key issue relates to families who were allotted land decades ago under the 20-Point Programme or through Gram Sabha allocations, but whose areas were subsequently brought under the forest land category.
Sirsa said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the government is working to ensure that Delhi's forest cover remains protected while also safeguarding the rights of families that have been residing in these areas for decades.
