New Delhi, June 2 -- The Delhi Government has announced a significant increase in compensation for farmers whose crops were damaged due to excessive rainfall during August-September 2025. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that the government has revised the compensation rate from the existing Rs.20,000 per acre, which had been in force since 2015, to Rs.75,000 per hectare.

The decision is expected to benefit around 10,000 farmer families across the national capital. The government will provide a total financial assistance package of Rs.33.32 crore to affected farmers.
