New Delhi, Feb. 17 -- According to the information provided by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), Delhi, major financial support package for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to fast-track development works with strict deadlines, while also ensuring timely preparation for pollution control ahead of the winter season, has been announced.

Under the plan, the Delhi Government has allocated Rs.1,330 crore for the construction and repair of nearly 1,000 kilometres of roads across the national capital. The target is to complete major works by September 30, 2026, so that dust pollution can be effectively controlled before the onset of winter, when air quality typically deteriorates.
