New Delhi, Aug. 5 -- A Delhi court has closed the corruption case against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satyendar Jain after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) reported no evidence of illicit gains. The FIR was initially filed following allegations from the Delhi government's vigilance wing regarding irregularities in hiring consultants for the Public Works Department (PWD).
Special Judge (PC Act) Dig Vinay Singh of the Rouse Avenue Courts accepted the CBI's closure report, observing that after four years of investigation, no proof of corruption or criminal conspiracy was found.
