New Delhi, May 26 -- The Delhi Legislative Assembly will organise the launch of the proceedings of the Central Legislative Assembly from 1924 to 1930, published in 89 volumes, along with the inaugural issue of the Assembly's quarterly journal "Vidhan-Chetna", in an initiative aimed at bringing India's democratic heritage closer to the people.

According to the Delhi Assembly Secretariat, the event is being organised under the patronage of Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta. The programme will be held at the Delhi Vidhan Sabha in Civil Lines on May 28 at 11:30 am.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will attend the event as the chief guest, while Union Minister Kiren Rijiju will be the guest of honour.
