New Delhi, Oct. 6 -- Chief Minister Rekha Gupta conducted an extensive three-hour inspection of the Yamuna riverbanks - from Palla village to Haathi Ghat - to review preparations for the upcoming Chhath Mahaparv. The inspection included a detailed boat survey of the riverfront.
The Chief Minister emphasised that this on-ground assessment is not merely an administrative review but a concrete step toward ensuring a grand and well-organised celebration of Chhath in the national capital.
Highlighting the festival's cultural significance, she said that Chhath connects the people of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand with Delhi's soil, thereby strengthening the spirit of "Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat" (One India, Great India).
