New Delhi, May 16 -- The Central Consumer Protection Authority has imposed a penalty of Rs.10 lakh on Motion Education Pvt. Ltd. and Rs.5 lakh on Career Line Coaching for misleading advertisements, unfair trade practices and violation of consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

The authority stated that the action was taken to protect consumer rights and ensure that no false or misleading advertisements are made regarding goods or services in violation of the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act.
