New Delhi, May 1 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said she can conduct inspections in any private school in Delhi at any time, asserting that strict enforcement will be carried out to protect parents' rights.

She directed that all private schools must clearly state on their notice boards, websites, and any associated stores that parents are free to purchase uniforms, books, and stationery from any vendor of their choice. She emphasised that there must be no coercion, no captive buying, and no imposition of single-vendor systems.

The Chief Minister warned said any violation or manipulation would invite the toughest legal action, adding that even a takeover of institutions is not beyond consideration in serious cases.
