New Delhi, May 8 -- Bihar witnessed the first expansion of the cabinet led by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary at Gandhi Maidan, where ministers took oath in a grand ceremony attended by senior NDA leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
One of the major highlights of the cabinet expansion was the induction of JD(U) leader Nishant Kumar, son of JD(U) patriarch Nitish Kumar, shortly after his formal entry into politics.
Nishant Kumar, along with leaders from the BJP, JD(U), LJP(R), HAM(S) and Rashtriya Lok Morcha, took oath as ministers as the NDA government carried out its first major cabinet reshuffle after its sweeping victory in the Bihar Assembly elections.
