New Delhi, Sept. 6 -- The much-anticipated summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin took place at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska on August 15, 2025. The primary agenda on the table was to find a solution to the ongoing war in Ukraine. The talks between the two leaders lasted for two and a half hours- the longest ever face-to-face meeting between the two leaders. While Donald Trump was joined by Secretary of State and national security adviser Marco Rubio and special envoy Steve Witkoff, Putin was accompanied by Russia Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the country's national security adviser Yuri Ushakov. The Summit did not result in any conclusive agreement.
