New Delhi, Aug. 25 -- The All India Speakers Conference at the Delhi Assembly was inaugurated in the presence of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Extending greetings to the presiding officers, deputy speakers, and chairpersons of state assemblies and legislative councils from across the country, CM Gupta described the gathering as historic. The conference marks the centenary of Vitthalbhai Patel becoming the first Indian elected Speaker of the Central Legislative Assembly.
