New Delhi, March 14 -- The Delhi government has intensified efforts to clean drains flowing into the Yamuna by deploying advanced amphibious excavator machines to remove silt and waste from major drains.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the cleaning of drains across Delhi is being carried out in mission mode to make the Yamuna clean and free-flowing. As part of the initiative, new Amphibian Excavator Machines equipped with long and short booms were deployed at Badusarai Bridge and the Pankha Road drain.
According to the Chief Minister, these machines use modern technology to remove accumulated silt, garbage and water hyacinth from drains and water bodies more quickly and efficiently than conventional methods.
