New Delhi, Aug. 5 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly opposed the Delhi School Education (Transparency in Fixation and Regulation of Fees) Bill, 2025 introduced by the BJP-led Delhi Government, alleging it benefits private school managements at the cost of parents.
Leader of Opposition Atishi, along with AAP MLAs, staged a protest in front of Mahatma Gandhi's statue in the Assembly premises, calling the bill "fake" and "designed to favour the education mafia." The party demanded the bill be sent to a Select Committee, the 2024-25 fees be frozen, and excess fees collected by private schools in the last four months be refunded.
