New Delhi, July 24 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the BJP-led Delhi government of targeting traders following its alleged crackdown on slum dwellers. AAP claimed that officials from the Revenue Department arrived to seal shops in Tilak Nagar without issuing any show-cause notice, in violation of Supreme Court orders, which mandate prior notice before any property is sealed.

Tilak Nagar MLA Jarnail Singh alleged that the BJP, after returning to power in Delhi after 27 years, has started exploiting citizens "like wolves." He questioned whether such actions were being carried out with the consent of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, under whose authority the Revenue Department operates.
