New Delhi, Jan. 2 -- The Delhi Transport Corporation's (DTC) building at the Indraprastha Depot will be demolished within the next three months to make way for a modern headquarters, estimated to cost Rs.207 crore, officials said.

In December last year, the DTC and the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) signed a memorandum of understanding for the development and construction of the new headquarters for the public transport body.

Officials said the DSIIDC has begun work on a makeshift office on adjacent land to temporarily accommodate DTC operations. The construction of the interim facility is expected to be completed within the next couple of months.
