New Delhi, Sept. 19 -- 502 Palnaghar Anganwadi-cum-Creche Centres were inaugurated at the Delhi Municipal Corporation Primary School in New Ashok Nagar in the presence of Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that The launch, organised under the Seva Pakhwada on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been described as a valuable gift for mothers in Delhi.

The new centres will provide nutrition and care for young children while supporting working and labouring mothers in managing their employment and household responsibilities. Anganwadi and creche workers will now be addressed as "Mausi," symbolising maternal affection, care, and nurturing.
