New Delhi, Nov. 5 -- Addressing the first press meet after being elected as the next mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani on Wednesday assured that he will work every day to honour the trust and stated that he is open to speaking with President Donald Trump.

The 34-year-old Indian-origin democratic socialist scripted history after a thumping victory, defeating former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa in the closely watched contest that garnered global attention.
