New Delhi, June 22 -- Social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, experienced widespread disruptions on Monday, with thousands of users across multiple countries reporting problems accessing the service.

The outage appeared to affect users in several regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom and India, triggering a surge in complaints on social media and outage-tracking websites.

According to outage-monitoring platform Downdetector, reports of service disruptions climbed sharply, reaching around 27,000 complaints at the peak of the outage.
