New Delhi, Oct. 29 -- Mumbai Indians' cricketer Nicola Carey is having the best time of her life at the moment. After hitting the winning runs for Hobart Hurricanes in the last season of Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) final against Perth Scorchers for a maiden title, the Australia all-rounder has been unveiled as the new skipper of the side replacing Elyse Villani.

A Hobart Hurricanes stalwart, Carey has played 88 games for the club, since moving from from Sydney Thunder in 2019. But that's not the only happy news in Carey's life. The 33-year-old was one of the retained players by Mumbai Indians in WPL 2027, and is also set to star a new innings, with her partner Villani outside the cricket field, in the form of parenthood.
