New Delhi, Sept. 12 -- HDFC Bank on Saturday said it has appointed Jimmy Tata as a Whole-time Director, designated as Executive Director, for a period of three years, subject to approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

The appointment, along with the remuneration payable to him, will be effective from the date of RBI approval or any other date or period specified by the central bank, the lender said in an exchange filing.

Jimmy Tata currently serves as the bank's Chief Credit Officer. He holds a Master of Financial Management degree from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management and is a Chartered Financial Analyst from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India.
