New Delhi, Sept. 21 -- Senior advocate and former Solicitor General of India Harish Salve is advising Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran amid the ongoing governance differences between Tata Sons and Tata Trusts.

Neol Tata-led Tata Trusts has appointed Senior Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi to represent it in opposing the reappointment of N Chandrasekaran as chairman of Tata Sons and the proposed listing of the Tata group holding company.

Salve, speaking with news agency ANI, said the issue surrounding Tata Sons and the Reserve Bank of India's regulatory directions was "very straightforward", with the RBI requiring the company to comply with the rules applicable to Core Investment Companies (CICs).
