New Delhi, April 13 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall with lightning and thunderstorms over Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, Meghalaya and other north-eastern states.

This fresh rain spell in the Western Himalayan Region has been attributed to another impact of a Western Disturbance.

The weather agency also forecast a gradual rise in maximum temperatures likely over Northwest, Central and East India, including Delhi, Maharashtra and Gujarat, by 3-6degC.

Delhi is expected to experience a clear sky on Monday, April 13, according to the IMD.

The maximum and minimum temperatures over the capital city are likely to be in the range of 36degC to 38degC and 18degC to 20degC, respectively.
