New Delhi, Sept. 23 -- US stocks edged lower on Wednesday as rising oil prices and higher Treasury yields weighed on sentiment, while investors turned their attention to an upcoming meeting between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
In early trading, the S&P 500 declined 0.1%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 0.2%. The Nasdaq Composite fell 0.3%.
Markets remained focused on developments in energy prices as well as the expected discussions between Trump and Xi, with investors watching for signals on US-China relations and the broader global economic outlook.
