New Delhi, July 27 -- US stock markets traded modestly higher on Monday as easing oil prices lifted investor sentiment after the United States and Iran paused military attacks, reducing fears of a broader disruption to global energy supplies. Investors also turned their attention to a packed week featuring major corporate earnings and the Federal Reserve's latest interest rate decision.
As of 9:55 a.m. Eastern Time, the S&P 500 rose 0.6%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1%, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.7%.
At the opening bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 226.2 points, or 0.44%, to 5,2173.42. The S&P 500 rose 52.2 points, or 0.70%, to 7,464.2, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 260.4 points, or 1.04%, to 25,236.185...
