New Delhi, Aug. 27 -- Wall Street's major stock indices moved higher on Thursday, led by a rally in technology shares after chip giant Nvidia's blockbuster forecast strengthened investor confidence in the artificial intelligence boom.

At 09:42 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 35.72 points, or 0.08%, to 53,499.60. The S&P 500 gained 26.74 points, or 0.35%, to 7,702.44, while the Nasdaq Composite added 217.12 points, or 0.83%, to 26,342.87.

At the open, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 149.8 points, or 0.28%, to 53,613.66. The S&P 500 rose 34.6 points, or 0.45%, to 7,710.34​, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 226.8 points, or 0.87%, to 26,356.977.
