Wall Street: Nasdaq rises, S&P 500 and Dow Jones dip after consumer inflation data; Nvidia gains 2.4%, Broadcom jumps 5%
New Delhi, April 10 -- The Nasdaq gained, while the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones retreated on Friday as the March consumer inflation report largely met market projections, amid concerns over a fragile ceasefire between the US and Iran.
As of 12:27 p.m. Eastern, the S&P 500 fell 0.1%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.5%, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.3%.
As of 9:56 a.m. Eastern Time, the S&P 500 rose 0.1%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.4%, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.6%.aligned with expectations.
At the opening bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 13.6 points, or 0.03%, to 48,199.39. The S&P 500 rose 14.6 points, or 0.21%, to 6,839.24, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 91.5 points, or 0.40%, to 22,913....
