Vedanta shares up 4% after announcing first interim dividend for FY27 - Record date | A stock to buy? Expert view
New Delhi, Oct. 9 -- Vedanta shares jumped 4% in intraday deals on the BSE on Friday, 9 October, a day after announcing the first interim dividend for the financial year 2026-27 (FY27).
Vedanta share price opened at Rs.255.60 against its previous close of Rs.253.10 and rose 4% to an intraday high of Rs.263.25, looking set to snap its two-day losing run.
In an exchange filing on 8 October, Vedanta said its board had approved the first interim dividend of Rs.5 per share for the financial year 2026-27.
The record date for the said dividend is Wednesday, 14 October 2026.
The stock is 50% up in the last one year, hitting a 52-week high of Rs.360.70 on 29 May this year and a 52-week low of Rs.168.30 on 9 October last year.
