New Delhi, June 10 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached a historic milestone on Wednesday, June 10, becoming India's longest-continuously serving elected prime minister. By completing 4,399 consecutive days in office today, PM Modi has surpassed the previous record of 4,398 days held by India's first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru.
This milestone of PM Modi becoming the longest-continuously serving elected prime minister coincides with the 12th anniversary of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government.
