New Delhi, Aug. 18 -- The United Arab Emirates on Tuesday (August 18) said Iran launched two ballistic missiles toward its territory, but neither missile struck land, hours after the UAE issued a public warning urging residents to seek shelter.

The UAE Interior Ministry later sent a phone alert saying the situation was safe and advised residents to resume normal activities.

Earlier, the Interior Ministry had issued a brief emergency alert warning residents of "potential missile threats" and instructing them to immediately move to a safe location inside the nearest secure building.
