New Delhi, Oct. 8 -- Tesla Inc. launched a $39,990 version of the Model Y to make its best-selling vehicle more affordable, aiming to offset the impact of the US electric vehicle incentives being phased out.

According to the company's website, the starting price is approximately 11% lower than the base Model Y before this addition to Tesla's lineup. The latest version offers an estimated range of 321 miles, which is 10% less than the premium rear-wheel drive model. It does not include a second-row touchscreen and has fewer than half the audio speakers, Bloomberg reported.
