New Delhi, April 4 -- Actor Ayesha Harris has been promoted to a series regular role in the upcoming third season of the medical drama The Pitt, while Supriya Ganesh is set to exit the show after its second season, according to a report by Variety.

Harris, who portrays senior night shift resident Dr Parker Ellis, will now take on a more prominent position in the series. She first appeared in four of the 15 episodes in Season 1 and returned for Season 2, gradually becoming a more visible part of the show's narrative.
