New Delhi, Sept. 26 -- Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Lupin, Natco Pharma, Laurus Labs, other Indian pharma stocks declined over 3% on Friday after the US President Donald Trump announced a fresh 100% tariffs on branded or patented pharmaceuticals starting October 1, unless a company is building a manufacturing plant in America.

Nifty Pharma index slipped 2.6%, dragged by Natco Pharma, Laurus Labs, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Gland Pharma, IPCA Laboratories and Biocon shares falling over 3% each.

Other index constituents, Zydus Lifesciences, Divi's Laboratories, Ajanta Pharma, Granules India, Alkem Laboratories, Mankind Pharma and Lupin dropped over 2% each.
