Despite the choppy tone, a mild recovery toward the end ensured that markets finished slightly higher. The Nifty 50 closed up by 95.45 points or 0.39% at 24,868.60, while the BSE Sensex gained 314.02 points or 0.39%, ending at 81,101.32. The Nifty Bank, too, remained range-bound throughout the day, settling with a marginal gain of 29.20 points or 0.05% at 54,216.10, signalling cautious accumulation in financials.
