Stock market today, Sept. 16 -- Indian stocks saw a slight increase on Tuesday, boosted by gains in the energy and automotive sectors, along with positivity regarding advancements in trade talks between the U.S. and China, as well as India, ahead of the Federal Reserve's decision on interest rates.

The Nifty 50 climbed 0.43% to 25,177 . 55, while the BSE Sensex increased by 0.44% to 82,146.58 at 12:18 IST.

Analysts observed that the market was in a "wait and watch" phase, with cautious sentiment prevailing ahead of important international and domestic events.
