New Delhi, March 23 -- Iconic Indian revolutionary freedom fighters - Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar and Shivaram Rajguru - were executed by the British on 23 March 23 1931 in connection with the Lahore conspiracy case at a very young age.

The day is observed as 'Shaheed Diwas' to honour their martyrdom.
