New Delhi, Sept. 30 -- The Centre has decided to provide an additional Rs.14 crore for the Science City Dehradun project, according to information shared by the Uttarakhand government. Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat informed Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami about the decision through a letter, describing the amount as the central share of the project's additional funding requirement.

The decision addresses part of an estimated Rs.39 crore gap funding requirement identified for the project. The remaining requirement, according to the state government, will be met by Uttarakhand government and the Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST), which together will contribute about Rs.25 crore. ...
