New Delhi, Sept. 16 -- In 1948, Norbert Wiener published a work titled Cybernetics: Or Control and Communication in the Animal and the Machine. In it, he pointed out that all biological organisms, machines and social systems follow the same homeostatic principles when it comes to adjusting their behaviour.
The human body maintains body temperature, blood pressure, physical balance and a whole host of other essential functions by constantly scanning the environment for changes and immediately responding with appropriate adjustments if and when there is a variation from the norm.
