New Delhi, Oct. 5 -- The government's purchases from micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in the first six months of the ongoing financial year (FY26) reached about 45% of total procurement, indicating strong support for the country's MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises).
Businesses expect this trend to strengthen in the second half of the fiscal year, following the government's amendment to the definition of MSEs that expanded the number of businesses eligible for public procurement.
