New Delhi, Aug. 24 -- Legendary goalkeeper PR Sreejesh minced no words at the team managements after both the Indian men and women teams crashed out of the semifinal race in the second round of the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026. While the Indian women's team took an exit route after a draw against Australia the previous day, their men's team exited on Monday following a humiliating 3-5 loss to Argentina.

The 38-year-old Sreejesh, who helped India win two Olympic bronze medals in 2021 and 2024, took to X to vent his frustration and demanded accountability for the Indian teams poor display in Belgium and the Netherlands. The Indian teams will now play in classification matches.
