New Delhi, Aug. 29 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on 29 August on his two-nation visit to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan on Saturday, expressing confidence that the diplomatic engagement will reinforce India's strategic partnerships across Central Asia.

In the first leg of his trip, PM Modi will be in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on 29-30 August. This will be Prime Minister's fourth visit to Uzbekistan. Therafter, the prime minister will travel to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to participate in the 26th SCO Summit on 31 August - 1 September 2026, as per the official itinerary.
