New Delhi, Aug. 22 -- Petrol and diesel prices today, 22 August: Fuel rates remained largely unchanged across major Indian cities on Saturday even as crude oil capped a weekly gain. Fuel rates are revised at 6:00 AM daily as India follows dynamic fuel price method. State-owned fuel retailers Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) continue to insulate customers from global oil price volatility and fluctuation.

Fuel prices have remained steady since 25 May major price adjustment, when Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) increased petrol prices by Rs.2.61 per litre and diesel prices by Rs.2.71 per litre.
